Quante volte, alla fine di un viaggio, fai fatica a ricordarti dei posti piú carini e accoglienti in cui hai mangiato o quelli in cui il servizio e il cibo non sono stati un granché???

Bhé, abbiamo deciso di documentare anche questi "deliziosi" episodi!!!

How many times at the end of a trip you forget the lovely places you've eaten? And how many times you forget the not so lovely ones?

Abbiamo rischiato di:

1. Essere caricate da due caprette
2. Disturbare un airone mentre pesacava
3. Farci investire da un autobus per fotografare un procione
4. Splattare una lumaca

Questi i pericoli della temeraria vita selvaggia che stiamo facendo. Non sará troppo?!

Paola dice che aveva calcolato tutti i rischi e che si é tenuta lontana dalle scene (salvo poi urlare "Oddio lo scoiattolo!" e "Oddio l'autobus!" salvandomi la vita.
Per la cronaca: rischi non ne ho corsi, anche se Paola era convinta che sia le caprette che il procione stessero per caricarmi, perché SONO PERICOLOSI!).

We have risked:

1. To be chased by two goats
2. To annoy a heron while he/she/it was fishing
3. To be run over by a bus while taking a picture of a raccoon
4. To crush a slug

This is the dangerous life that we are living. Is that too much?!

Paola says that she knew the risks and that's why she kept well out of the way (except for screaming "OMG a squirrel!" and "OMG the bus!" saving my life.
To be honest I didn't risk my life, not even close, even though Paola thought that both the goats and the raccoon were going to attack me, because they are vicious!)

La nostra giornata era iniziata con "Vabbé, oggi ci riposiamo"... Ecco, infatti abbiamo fittato la bici e girato tutta Downtown Vancouver!!!!
Nonostante la mia sella a forma di culo (ooops, dislessia da Dotto), non si puó restare indifferenti all'avvolgente foresta di Stanley Park, alla bontá di un hot dog divorato in riva all'oceano e alle faticose salite e agognate discese di Vancouver.

P.S.: Gi, ma che faccia seria...sembri una severissima istruttrice di bici!!! :-))))

Our day began with: "Right, let's chill out today"... And that's why we rented a bike and toured all Downtown Vancouver back and forth!!!!
Despite my ass-shaped saddle (this phrase was the result of my dyslexia and only works in Italian, sorry!), we couldn't ignore the amazing forest of Stanley Park, the beauty of eating a hot dog in front of the ocean and the tiresome of the uphill roads and the very much longed downhill of Vancouver.

P.S. Gi, why so serious??? You look like a very strict bike trainer!

Speranza / Hope

Siamo quasi in partenza per Vancouver, un'oretta e mezza e ci siamo.
Ieri abbiamo deciso di passare la notte in un paesino di belle speranze, Hope (che per i pochi di voi che non lo sanno significa speranza).
Abbiamo trovato un motel che si chiama Lucky Stirke (che oltre a ricordare il nome delle sigarette fa ridere... Hope, Lucky Strike... vabbé!).
La padrona é una signora polacca di nome Italia! Infatti sapendo da dove arriviamo ci ha fatto lo sconto, ahah!
Il paesino é assurdo, sembra proprio di passaggio, ci sono solo motel e fast food.
Tra poco si parte, vado a fare colazione!!! Ciao

An hour and a half to Vancouver, we're almost ready to go.
Yesterday we've decided to spend the night in a village whose name is ... Hope, in a Motel who's called Lucky Strike... oh well, it makes me laugh!
The owner is a lovely Polish lady, her name is... Italia! We got a discount when she found out that we are actually from Italy. LOL
This tiny village is surreal, it looks like is just a stop and go place, there are only Motels and fast foods.
We're leaving in an hour or so, gotta get breakfast first! See you soon folks (as they say here)!
