Trova le differenze / Spot the difference

Incredibile come nell'arco di una giornata si possano ammirare paesaggi diametralmente opposti.
Siamo passate dal lussureggiante parco di Yosemite, ricco di vegetazione (sequoie che non abbiamo visto) e fauna (che non abbiamo visto) [meno male che c'é stato il Canada!]. Scherzi a parte, abbiamo attraversato il parco che ci ha offerto paesaggi magnifici solo poche ore prima di raggiungere la terra del nulla.
Un caldo inimmaginabile, un suono del vento mai sentito (per Gi una voce inquietante, per Paola un suono seducente) e persino l'odore della terra era diverso da quelli mai percepiti finora.

Ora siamo a Valle, alle porte del Grand Canyon, in pausa causa temporale estivo (e stanchezza). Domani la natura ci stupirá ancora.

Amazing how we experienced the pleasure to see such different landscape in few hours.
We went from the luxury of Yosemite Park, a rich forest (sequoias and wild animals that we didn't see, thank God for Canada, no offense to my American friends, you know I love you!).
Just kidding! We enjoyed the incredible landscapes of the park just few hours before finding ourselves in the middle of nothing: the Death Valley.
Unbelievably hot. The enchanted sound of the wind in the Valley and the deep silence on the top of the mountains, even the land smelled differently.

Now we are in Valle, at the entrance of the Grand Canyon, resting after a rainy storm.
Tomorrow the Nature we'll blow our minds again.

Dove siamo rimaste? / Where are we at?

Perdonateci l'assenza prolungata, causata dalla mancanza di connessione a internet e/o di energie suffucienti a postare.

Vi scriviamo da Bishop, cittadina di passaggio (almeno per noi) tra il parco di Yosemite e la Death Valley.

Breve riassunto delle puntate precedenti:

Lasciata Seattle abbiamo guidato fino a Ashland, senza fermarci a Portland, causa traffico e problemi di tempo.
Ashland non é degna di nota, abbiamo solo dormito lí e siamo ripartite alla volta della tanto desiderata San Francisco. Qui io (G) sono riuscita a bruciarmi faccia, polpacci e stinchi grazie al vento, vi posterei una foto, ma non vorrei che poi fosse usata contro di me.
Vi racconteremo i dettagli della visita alla cittá in un post dedicato!

Oggi siamo partite alla volta di Yosemite, non prima di aver trovato una multa sulla nostra macchinina, piazzata (sicuramente) da un acidissimo vigile urbano san francischese due ore prima... il motivo:
divieto di sosta?
pulizia della strada?
fuori dalle strisce?
fuori orario?
NO! Strada troppo in pendenza e avevamo lasciato le ruote dritte. No comment. (Anzi, comment: poi dicono dei parcheggi milanesi!).

Dicevamo... Oggi Yosemite, bello, ma dedicheremo tempo a scrivere delle nostre avventure sul Capilano Suspension Bridge, un resoconto sui cibi prelibati, altri animaletti della foresta e non e altri anedotti che non abbiamo trovato ancora tempo di pubblicare!

Apologies for the long absence, cause by the lack of internet access and/or by the lack of energy of the two travellers/writers.

We are writing you from Bishop, a little town of passage (at least for us), between Yosemite and the Death Valley.

Short summary of the previous episodes:
Once left Seattle we drove to Ashland, where we only slept, without stopping in Portland because we got stuck in a traffic jam.

We finally made it to San Francisco, where I (Gi) sunburnt my face and legs, because of the wind. I'd publish a photo, but then you could use it against me!
We'll tell you all about the visit to Frisco in a dedicated post.

Today we headed to Yosemite Park, not before being fined from a lovely (not) whoever-fine-you-in-san-francisco man, for parking with straight wheels... no comment.

Yosemite... yes, we'll tell you more about that and about the Capilano Suspension Bridge in Vancouver, the lovely food all around, more animals and other stories that we haven't found the time to publish, YET!
